I dragged myself out of the house (as well as the baby and the Mrs.) bright and early and went to see the doc. At our request he is switching me back to Oxycontin and has suggested that it is time to go see a pain management specialist.
I called the insurance company and got the name of the in network places as well as information on what my part of the payment would be. The good news is that I do not need a referral as I have a PPO and not an HMO but I have to pay 10% (90/10 PLAN) but only after the yearly deductible if met. I thought she said $2000 but after I read the policy it is $250 with a $2000 max out of pocket each year.
I called the facility and got an appointment but the earliest they had is the following Friday and very early in the morning. Lucky me, they are 1.5 hours from my house (you have to love city driving) which means I need to leave here at like 5:30 in the morning to make it on time.
I will let everyone know how it is all going when I see the new doc.
